Mayor Nirenberg welcomed 300 people at the First Annual San Antonio Welcome Walk on December 4, including many of our newest Afghan refugee neighbors.

We are excited to announce a 1-mile community walk and festival to support refugees from Afghanistan and other countries resettle into San Antonio! Join Mayor Nirenberg and help us welcome them to our beautiful city by participating!
This event will take place on December 4th from 8:30 to 12:30 at the San Antonio Medical Center Foundation Trail.

Virtual Exchange Sessions have begun

Culturingua is excited to announce the implementation of our Global Social Entrepreneurship Virtual Exchange Journey in partnership with the Stevens Initiative, San Antonio Independent School District, and the Benghazi Center for Gifted! Our students are dedicating this semester to developing a project based on their United Nations Sustainable Development Goal!

Culturingua, with the support of Islamic Relief USA, was able to provide 3,000 pounds of lamb meat to over 300 families in the Medical Center community in San Antonio.
Culturingua Receives Grant from Center for Arab American Philanthropy

Culturingua Receives Grant from San Antonio Area Foundation

Culturingua is excited to be one of 15 non-profits to receive a grant from The San Antonio Area Foundation, in conjunction with Up Partnership, that benefits non-profits in the San Antonio area as part of the first ever Youth Leadership Development grants.

Culturingua's Summer 2021 Arabic Camp is completed!

Exciting news! This past 2021 summer, Culturingua hosted our Arabic Summer Camp in partnership with Advanced Learning Academy (ALA) in SAISD School District. The Arabic Summer Camp focused on teaching youth the language, culture, and arts of the Arab region. Moreover, this was the first summer we hosted a Level Two Arabic Camp for students that had previously taken Level One.

Culturingua is excited to be one of 19 virtual exchange programs awarded new grants by the Stevens Initiative. With our fellow grantees, we will reach nearly 19,000 youth participants through virtual exchange. Together, our programs cover 25 topics, including engineering innovation, history, public health, and social entrepreneurship.

Culturingua: Texas winter storm support
03/11/2021
Culturingua, in partnership with Islamic Relief USA, distributed financial support to San Antonio families affected by the winter storm. Last week, they distributed 66 gift cards ($150 each) and hygiene soaps to families whose homes were damaged or were otherwise impacted by the winter storm. In a few weeks, they will distribute more gift cards and hygiene soaps.

The Culturingua Global Social Entrepreneurship Journey program is all about taking students from around the world and collaborating with each other on topics such as ending poverty, creating clean energy and educational equity to create solutions to those challenges.
