The Silk Road District Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly community celebration honoring San Antonio's newly designated Silk Road Cultural Heritage District. Taking place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM near I-10 and Wurzbach Road, this free public event will welcome approximately 1,000 attendees for an immersive cultural experience.
The festival offers visitors an engaging afternoon to taste global flavors from diverse food vendors representing Silk Road cuisines from West Africa and Europe to East Asia; shop local and global artisan goods at a bustling craft market featuring handmade jewelry, textiles, and pottery; enjoy live entertainment ranging from traditional dance and music to contemporary cross-cultural performances; and engage youth through hands-on learning stations exploring Silk Road traditions and stories.
