Culturingua’s policy work prioritizes equitable economic and community development for low- and moderate-income residents in San Antonio's northwest neighborhoods, particularly around the greater Medical Center. This work strengthens advocacy efforts in areas like health equity, housing, and educational resources, fostering a more inclusive and effective approach to community development.
Culturingua’s civic engagement work empowers San Antonians to actively participate in the political process and advocate for their rights. By providing resources, training, and support for voter registration, leadership development, and public advocacy, Culturingua fosters civic participation and amplifies underrepresented voices. This work helps build stronger, more inclusive communities by ensuring that marginalized groups are informed, engaged, and have a say in decisions that affect their lives. Culturingua also works alongside the League of Women Voters of San Antonio to translate their voter material into Arabic and Pashto.
Culturingua believes in the power of collaboration and building strong partnerships to drive meaningful change. By engaging with coalition partners and working together, we advocate for shared values and collective action on issues like cultural preservation, equity, and justice. Through these alliances, we amplify our voices and strengthen our impact, ensuring that our advocacy efforts are more effective and sustainable for the communities we serve. Together, we create a unified front for advancing the causes that matter most.
